Felt a little bad because just as I was thinking of turning around, a car full of kids drove by. They were all shouting "ganbatte!" and waving as they sped by. Not bad enough to kill myself going any further. If I'd been wearing my cycling shoes and brought my water backpack, I would havd kept going. Quite sure I would have made it, too. Muscle wise, I felt very good. Better the further I went, in fact. Amazing how much easier it was to cycle today, without all my bags!
