I've known Japanese TV to be weird, but a drama about a girl who has shrunk to 2 inches tall (don't know why), and her romance with a normal sized childhood friend, who carries her around in his shirt pocketï¼ I won't even describe what happens in an average episode.
Beats yesterday where over 2 10 minute or so bouts of channel surfing, 5 people suffered stab wounds to the gut.
Yes, I've been reduced to watching Japanese TV in the evening. Too tired to go walking about..

I wonder if the show is a modern remake of an old story. In it the fellow was born two inches tall, grew up in the country dreaming of being a samuri, travels to the city and becomes the guard and friend of a princess, defeats a demon who attacks by slicing him up with a pin from the inside, is magically made 6' tall by some magic something left behind by the demon, marries the princess and lives happily yada yada. Name of samuri escapes me but it's a great story.

It sounds remarkably like an older version of "George Shrinks", a hit cartoon over here, actually. One of the better kids things on TV. Added bonus, the jazzy theme is sung by Canadian Colin James, IIRC.
